2027 FlyLady Zone Calendar + Free Printable
One of the things I love most about the FlyLady system is that you are never trying to clean the whole house at once. You are simply asking, What area am I focusing on this week? That is really the idea behind zone cleaning.
Your home is divided into five zones, and throughout the month you slowly rotate through them. A few minutes here. A drawer there. Maybe you wipe the baseboards today and declutter a cabinet tomorrow. Nothing dramatic, but over time those little pockets of work add up to a home that is being cared for consistently instead of waiting for one giant cleaning day.
The only problem is that I am forever wondering what zone we are actually in. So I created this FlyLady Zone Calendar to make that part easier. It gives you the entire year at a glance, so you can quickly see which zone you are in each week without having to stop and figure it out every time.
I update the printable each year, so you can always download the current version and tuck it into your control journal or homemaking binder!

How the FlyLady Zones Work
The traditional FlyLady system divides the month into five rotating zones. I use that same basic structure, but I group the rooms a little differently to make the system work better for my own home.
Here is how I organize mine:
Zone 1: Entrances + Porches
Zone 2: Kitchen + Dining Room
Zone 3: Bathrooms + Laundry
Zone 4: Bedrooms
Zone 5: Living Areas
If you are brand new to the system, I would start with my Simplified FlyLady Cleaning Schedule first. It walks you through the daily basics, the Weekly Home Blessing, and how I fit zone work into my regular routine.
The important thing to remember is that you are not trying to finish an entire zone every time it comes around. You are just spending a little focused time there.
For me, that usually means setting a timer for about 15 minutes and choosing whatever the space needs most. Sometimes that is decluttering. Sometimes it is organizing. Sometimes it is one of those deeper cleaning jobs that never seems urgent enough to make the regular cleaning list.
Then when the next zone comes around, I move on.
Why Some Zones Are Longer Than Others
You may notice something a little funny when you look at the calendar. The zones are not always perfectly even.
That is because FlyLady zones follow the calendar weeks rather than dividing every month into five equal sections. Zone 1 begins with the first partial week of the month, Zones 2, 3, and 4 follow, and Zone 5 continues through whatever days remain at the end of the month.
That means some months give you a nice long Zone 1 or Zone 5, while other months give you only a day or two.
It can look a little strange at first, but that uneven rhythm is actually part of the system. Some areas of the house naturally get more attention one month and less the next. You are not starting over every month anyway. You are simply picking up where you left off the last time that zone came around.
I actually like that about the system. It keeps things moving without making every month feel like a perfectly scheduled cleaning project.
How I Use the Zone Calendar
I keep this calendar with the rest of my cleaning printables so I can see the entire year at once. When I start a new week, I check the current zone and then pull out the corresponding checklist.
If we are in Zone 1, I use my Entrances + Porches checklist. Zone 2 is my Kitchen + Dining Room checklist, Zone 3 covers Bathrooms + Laundry, Zone 4 is Bedrooms, and Zone 5 covers our Living Areas like the living room, office, or playroom.
From there, I just choose one small thing to work on.
You absolutely do not need to complete the whole checklist every month. The checklist is there to help you see what could be done, while the timer is there to remind you when to stop. That combination has made such a difference for me.
The Part of Zone Cleaning I Have Made My Own
One of my favorite ways to use zone time is for more than deep cleaning. I also use those 15 minutes for decluttering and organizing.
If a room is cluttered, cleaning it more thoroughly is usually not the thing it needs first. So I might spend one day clearing a drawer, another day sorting through a basket, and another day wiping shelves and putting things back in a way that makes more sense.
Little by little, you are not just cleaning your home. You are making it easier to live in.
That is really the heart of the version of this system I use. A little every day instead of an exhausting weekend trying to catch up on everything at once.
Download the Current FlyLady Zone Calendar
You can download the current year’s FlyLady Zone Calendar below. It is a Sunday-start, year-at-a-glance calendar so you can quickly see which zone you are in each week.
I would print this one and keep it somewhere visible. Add it to your FlyLady control journal, slip it into a page protector in your homemaking binder, or tape it inside a cabinet door where you will actually see it.
Then you never have to stop and figure out, Wait... what zone are we in again? You can just look, pick one small task, set your timer, and get on with your day.
That is exactly how I want this system to feel! Simple enough to actually use! Hugs.

Use the FlyLady Method to declutter your home without the all-or-nothing burnout. I’ll show you how I use Zone Work to declutter in small, manageable chunks, whether that means 15 minutes a day or one focused hour each week.
